HIV Infection Rates

HIV infection rates are falling in NSW because most gay men use condoms with casual sex partners...

Although there are more men living with HIV in NSW than ever before, the rate of new diagnoses of HIV has been falling over the past three years and has dropped significantly in the past 12 months.

In fact NSW is the only state in Australia and Sydney is one of the few major cities in the world where HIV infection rates are actually decreasing.

Nice one fellas. Keep it up!

Using condoms and lube with casual roots is the best way for us to stop HIV being passed on or picked up.

ACON can help you...

ACON provides free safe packs of condom and lube in pubs, clubs and parties around NSW. Pick some up next time you’re out.
